It is over a year since I last published a list of my then 14 Favourite WordPress Plugins, revisiting this recently was quite interesting. A number of these remain firm favourites, some are no longer supported, and one or two simply don’t hack it any more, at least not for my purposes. So I thought it time to provide an update, this time with a tougher set of criteria to qualify as one of my ‘top 10′.
The difference in emphasis is to look for more than simply providing a function, and include plugins that also meet some or all of the following criteria:

There are now so many WordPress plugins available it is sometimes difficult and time consuming to find the right one for you. I have previously published a Top 5 and Top 10 list of my personal favourites, but this time I though I would simple list some of those that I use regularly and that offer, in my opinion, above average functionality.
