Thanks Jon, I agree with your point. A specific recommendation is of great value, anything else is just noise.

A great article, thank you Peter. I think client reviews are essential. However some of the ones I see are almost worthless: Mrs S of Sunbury said it was lovely to deal with the company, doesn't inspire me as a potential buyer.A name and one specific aspect of their service would do so much more.

Good article Peter. i've been blogging now since June 2011 aside of the fact that I love writing; blogs are successful if you know who your audience is but more importantly by putting yourself in the shoes of your audience then you can tell a story; in other words what advice, solutions, guidance, pitfalls to avoid this all helps to engage with your audience; informs them and keeps them coming back for more information!

Great article, reminding us that it's not good enough to blog - we need people to read them and do something afterwards. Thanks Peter.

This is very true, Peter. I also have a client in the editing field who is
making fantastic use of a landing page strategy that's tied into her
Adwords advertising campaigns. Her results are dramatic. In fact, so
much so that I intend to borrow from her strategy to refine my own
landing page campaigns. I wish more of our clients would heed your
advice to improve their conversion rates.
